​​​​​The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on November 5. You can find your polling location on the Iowa Secretary of State's website or by contacting the Palo Alto County Auditor's Office.

Registered voters can request a mailed absentee ballot through the Palo Alto County Auditor's Office. To receive a mailed ballot, complete a request form and return it to the auditor's office. The county auditor's office will begin mailing ballots on October 17.​​​​​ The deadline to request a mailed ballot is October 21.

Ballots must be received by the county auditor’s office before the polls close at 8:00 p.m. on November 5 to be considered for counting.

In-person absentee voting begins October 16 at the Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office and will be available until November 4. This office is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and located on the main floor of the Palo Alto County Courthouse, 1010 Broadway St., in Emmetsburg.​​
